About the Founder
Alison George, CEO & LCSW
👋 Welcome —
I’m So Glad You’re Here.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida, with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups across diverse clinical settings in the USA and Australia.
Over the years, I’ve heard countless clients say,
“I just want to feel better.”
But better isn’t one-size-fits-all. For some, it’s feeling less anxious. For others, it’s finding purpose, healing old wounds, or rediscovering joy.
That’s why I founded Finding My Better—not just as a therapy practice, but as a holistic wellness business dedicated to helping you reconnect with your whole self. Or maybe even FINDING yourself.
In addition to trauma-informed therapy and walk and talk sessions, I’m building a space that integrates multiple paths to healing, including:
-
Sound healing and somatic practices
-
Wellness retreats nourishing mind, body, & spirit
-
Workshops & CEU courses for growth & professional renewal
-
Collaborations with massage therapists, reiki therapists, and other healing professionals
-
Creative tools and journals to support transformation beyond the session

This is therapy that meets you where you are—
and helps you grow into where you’re meant to be.
So—what does your better look like?
Let’s take that next step together to find out.
"I felt really lost in my direction in life. I found myself newly divorced at 55, and starting all over. It was initially scary. But I realized that it didn't have to be. I feel more clear now than ever, and excited for the next chapter."
- Jen Smith
"I have struggled with anxiety my whole life. I tried everything; or so I thought. Alison gave me unique tools and ways to think about things that really helped me. Without medicine."
- Olivia Green
"I was initially a bit unsure about the idea of attending counselling; I was raised to not talk about mental health stuff, it was taboo. But now I see how important it is to be able to talk about these things, and it's actually a strength, not a weakness to seek support."
- Chris James
